To ensure the high-quality of matriculated graduate students, the University of Science and Technology of China（USTC）has opened its summer camp, attracting over 10,000 applicants from different national universities, according to the dynamic statistics on June 18th.

 USTC’s summer camp consists of 24 separated mini-camps of different research fields in the name of “Creative Youth” this year, with an obvious growth of quantity of applicants for the summer camp compared with previous years, in which Hefei Institute of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences has enjoyed the greatest climb of numbers, with nearly 1000 increased applicants than last year. The quantity and the quality of these candidates are expected to go hand in hand this year through the summer camp and online interviews selection.

Supported by USTC’s volunteer groups and information platform with online and off-line publicity works, USTC will place the “precise positioning” (for positioning qualified applicants, contents of enrollment propaganda, and its work process) on the propaganda through the combination of traditional methods and new media to ensure aneffective graduate admissions campaign. USTC  has posted the 2019 summer camp  invitation on the official account and sent it to all the professors in USTC to forward on Wechat during the peak period of Dragon Boat Festival.  Also, USTC  has given full play to student volunteers’ initiative in the key universities to share their experiences in application for USTC, as well as to webcast on Douyu ,QQ and CCTalk apps,  showing the charm of USTC campus.

It is expected that there will be over 4000 excellent graduate candidates ,who enjoy the good educational background from Double First-Class universities, getting access to USTC by mid- July.
