On December 6th, the 19th Anime Night of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was held at the Great Hall in East Campus. Secretary of the School Youth League Committee YANG Xiaoguo, heads of relevant departments, student society representatives from other local universities and over 1500 anime fans enjoyed the fantastic show.

The show was divided into 3 sections, offering 18 impressive performances including Wota-gei, dance, fashion show and so on. A smooth and beautiful play by Student Symphony Orchestra kicked off this memorable night. The highlight of the night was that the audience waved glow sticks with the music, and their passion lit up the night. Student anime societies from Anhui University, Anhui Xinhua University and USTC performed two vivid stage plays jointly. The play Sunflowers of Inferno from USTC Student Anime Society, inspired by Detective Conan, was more than a suspenseful and humorous story. It also aroused the audience’s reflection on love and personal values, bringing a perfect end to this feast of anime.

As one of the series events that express USTC campus culture and student societies’ excellence, the Anime Night gives a stage to students to show their talents and spread positivity.
